Jason William Karpf has spent a lifetime exploring stories—the ones we tell, the ones we inherit, and the ones that shape our future.
The son of a screenwriter, Jason grew up in the entertainment industry and appeared as a child actor on classic television series including Bonanza and The Courtship of Eddie’s Father. Today he writes Christian science fiction that explores faith, technology, culture, and the enduring hope of the gospel.
He is the founder of Song of Ascent Media, publishing Christian science fiction and Christian educational resources, and Professor K Labs, helping authors, speakers, and ministries communicate their God-given message while building community and lasting relationships.
Whether writing novels, teaching at Christian universities, leading workshops, or speaking at churches and conferences, Jason believes stories do more than imagine the future—they prepare us to live faithfully within it. He celebrates human creativity as a reflection of our Creator while reminding readers that, however extraordinary our inventions become, the future belongs to God.

Jason’s work has been recognized by the Selah Awards, the Realm Awards, and the Angel Book Awards. He also was recognized by the Christian Authors Network Awards for Excellence in Book Marketing.
Away from his writing and teaching, Jason serves on his church worship team as a bassist, enjoys history, classic science fiction, and trivia, and was a four-time champion on Jeopardy!
Jason and his wife, Ann, live in Minnesota and are the parents of three grown children.
